Mother Nature Dumps....

Mother Nature Dumped and IS Dumping, lots of the fluffy white stuff today!! Which translates to no school and not having to come up with good excuses as to why you never got dressed today.
I love pajama day and Mother Nature definately came thru.

Did you know that if you peer thru frozen ice droplets, they magnify their surroundings? I guess its sort of like reflecting, you never know what you might see or find. Sometimes good, sometimes bad. But always interesting....
Mother Nature is the perfect Storm.....
Unless She dumps 100ft. of snow, like She is today. But I love snow.
I really love snow. Unless Im forced to dig my car out, well, then I really love snow. And pajama day translates to leaving the car snowed in.
Speaking of dumping & Mother Nature, this chair is taking an Icicle Dump, how funny is that?
I know, I know...."Only YOU would notice something like that." Gives more meaning to Mother Nature DUMPING doesnt it?

Color makes me Happy........

There is nothing like a cool, crisp Fall Day, I get to light up my hot torch and play with rainbows. I mean, who am I to complain about that?
But who am I kidding, there's always room to complain! Lol....
But back to color....
If you think about it, color dominates our lives. Red can make you feel tense, whereas blue can calm your mood down. Its true.

Color is a HUGE part of every day life.
Its how we know when to STOP at the RED light, GO at GREEN
all the way down to the color of our food, right?
I mean, its deeper than people really think about.
Would you eat a Blue watermelon? Orange corn? Purple apples?

I guess you would if that's how the color was presented to you in the 1st place....but color rides deep into your soul.
Some relate to color as your "Chakra.."
(i.e. green = the heart, yellow is the solar plexus or the organs below the rib cage (endocrine, stomach, liver spleen...) and so on. Even red is determined to increase your appetite and used in some restaurants, etc.)

Oh gawd, I didn't mean to make this soo complex, lol, but did you learn something new? Color therapy dates back to the Ancient Egyptians...
there was a spiritual reason that the grass was green and the sky was blue.
Then today's big wigs come in and talk about how refraction and subtraction and whateveraction...how the eye interprets light, etc.

I mean, seriously. Couldn't we have just left the whole theory alone and speculate as to why tomatoes turn red when their ready to eat, or why every things soo green in the summer? Glorious colors erupt in the Autumn....because Mother Nature says so? That's good enough for me.
I dont need to know the chemical theory behind lycopene for my red tomatoes. Umm, when they are bursting red and full of flavor, they are simply ready to eat right? Pass the salt please.
Speaking of red ripe tomatoes...I tried one of those TopsyTurvy upside down tomater plants this summer. And I have a pretty green thumb.
Umm, nope. Didn't work. I didn't get ONE tomato off that plant, I was soo ticked off. I even contemplated stealing one of my neighbors vine tomatoes, but figured that would screw up my Chakra somewhere and Lord have mercy, I don't wanna do that.
And who on earth made up the word GREEN THUMB?

My thumb is not really green, but when I grow great plants, I'm considered to have a green thumb? See?? Now that's one of those things, that Chemists can NOT decipher or take apart and find some chemical reason, my green thumb was not working this summer and my tomatoes never turned red.
See? See how color is such a big part of your life?
Color is a HUGE part of my life. Not only the day to day stuff, but
I get to PLAY with every color of the rainbow. I get to melt color after color of glass and make my OWN rainbows.
Chakra THAT!

Mother Nature

I guess part of living near the ocean comes with gambling cruise ships. Who would have thunk it?

So I went on The SunCruz Casino boat that putters out three miles into the Atlantic Ocean before they can even flip a card or roll a pair of dice. There is NO gambling in the state of Florida, so you have to be out in international waters. It was a beautiful evening, the intercostal waters were calm, serene, peaceful. Ahhh.....I love living by the ocean.

Let me rephrase that....I love living by a CALM ocean.
I have developed a new respect for Mother Nature and her ways.

There were all kinds of boats docked....I started to think I was on the set of The Deadliest Catch. I love that show....but only ON TV.
I look around me to see smiling faces as the boat leaves the dock and cruises out towards the Atlantic ocean...
Music is filling the air and my ears, food is being served and everyone is in a gay mood. (Ahem...gay as in happy)

I'm not exactly sure how it started or when it happened, but the calm ocean turned into the angry ocean and the gay, happy people that were swaying to the music were now swaying to try to stand still on the boat.
I see people digging in their pockets or purses for Dramamine.

I see the previously tan people turn a shade of green that matched the billiard tables and its as if I can hear everyone's stomach screaming at them.... I didn't feel as sick as I did dizzy. Now, I knew I hadn't been drinking, but being on that boat made my question my sobriety.

We hit the 3 mile marker in the ocean and I'm not sure who Mother Nature was pissed at, but I wasnt so sure I even wanted to know anymore....
I started contemplating jumping overboard. I was estimating in my dizzy head how long it would take the Coast Guard to come rescue me, if I was in the water.

I chose NOT to jump and instead stumbled across deck to find a chair.
I cannot imagine how stupid I looked "trying" to walk a straight line and simply sit in the chair, only to end up hanging on the pole and my friends in an attempt to sit down, lol.

Once seated I felt a little better, but watching people get sick, usually does a person in. I ended up sitting in that damnblasted chair for FOUR hours that night, unable to move, all because Mother Nature was in a pissed off mood.

I saw alot that night. I saw the well put together jocks stumble and forget their pride, I saw the smiling stripper girls who came in 4" stilletos and little tight skirts, stop smiling & wishing they had panties on under that tight skirt. I assume they didnt expect to be sitting down that night, lol.....

And to top it off, I saw one of the Poker Dealers PASS out cold and hit the casino floor. You know its bad when the Dealers pass out and a wheelchair is brought to rush them to the Medic.

Finally I saw a force not to be reckoned with.

Mother Nature. Do NOT mess with her, she means business.
